Plant Sale Fundraiser

Just in time for nice weather, the Spring Plant Sale is coming your way on two Saturdays in May. Held at the ICHS shelter, a great selection of annuals and perennials will be available on May 19th and 26th between 9 am and noon, including 4 packs of annuals as well as a wide variety of hostas and day lilies. You will find great savings and the best thing is that all proceeds will go towards the purchase of much-needed equipment for the surgery/medical treatment room at ICHS!!

Dog Bite Prevention for Kids
Sunday, May 27 1-3 pm

Statistics show that at least 50% of all children
have been bitten by a dog by the time that they are 12 years old.

The Be A Tree dog bite prevention program is for school age children and incorporates fun, interactive activities to teach kids how to read dog body language and how to act safely around their own dogs as well as strange dogs.

Polly Dake-Jones of Canine Solutions LLC in Beaver Dam has over 25 years of experience with dogs in many different disciplines including search & rescue, therapy, personal protection, obedience & conformation. She is a UKC conformation judge, therapy dog evaluator for Therapy Dogs Inc., chief temperament tester for the American Temperament Testing Society, an AKC
Canine Good Citizen evaluator and a certified Be A Tree presenter.

We are so happy to welcome Sage Lewis back to ICHS in May for another exciting workshop on Tellington TTouch. On Friday night, May 18th, Sage will be at ICHS to show us how TTouch can help our feline friends. Admission is $20 per person with all proceeds going to benefit our animals here at ICHS. For all of you dog owners, the hands on workshop on Sunday, May 20th, will give you the opportunity to bring your own dog and work along with Sage learning TTouch techniques which will make a world of difference to your dog and the connection you have with your best friend. This is the only Wisconsin workshop this year and with only 8 spaces available, we recommend reserving your space ASAP.

Patented Kuranda Dog Beds We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort.
